Phoolwari — the flower garden — is one of the oldest and most beloved motifs in Banarasi weaving, and this Banaras Katan Silk Saree in Orchid Purple wears it with effortless grace. The vivid, jewel-bright orchid-purple Katan silk — smooth, lustrous and richly weighted — is scattered from end to end with generous Phoolwari butis: classic clusters of three rounded blooms rising on a branching stem, each buti woven in gleaming silver-white resham with delicate gold zari highlights. The motif is open and naturalistic — each cluster sits in its own space, unhurried — and the effect of silver flowers against the radiant orchid-purple is at once festive and quietly elegant. The border is a wide panel of rose-gold antique tissue zari in a fine diagonal grid weave, edged with a soft lavender-periwinkle selvedge — a delicate, unexpected accent that lifts the whole palette.
