The golden-pista Katan silk ground is covered all over with a continuous gold zari lattice — a fine ogee-shaped grid — and within each cell of that lattice sits a small, perfectly formed meena flower buti woven in lustrous coloured resham: pink, navy blue, mustard yellow and deep maroon alternating in a joyful, kaleidoscopic repeat that covers the entire body in a field of multicolour blooms. The construction demands extraordinary skill — each colour is introduced on a separate bobbin, and the weaver must manage four to five threads simultaneously — making every metre of this saree a feat of craft as much as beauty. The border is a wide, richly woven panel of rose-pink antique zari with a fine allover butti repeat, edged with a slim violet-purple selvedge — a considered accent that ties the palette together. The pallu opens into the same rose-pink zari ground, anchored with bold magenta-fuchsia zari stripe bands, and finished at the hem with a spectacular row of multi-colour handmade silk tassels in pink, yellow, navy and maroon — each one echoing the meena colours of the body in a perfectly unified finale.
